SpoilerI was pretty interested in the story throughout, but the plot twist at the end kind of ruined it for me. It was predictable and made what could have been a complex story with interesting characters a plot driven story with basic, boring villains.

This book was so good! It definitely lived up to the hype that was surrounding it! I loved it so much! I cannot wait until Glass Sword comes out. In fact, I've already pre-ordered it. This book was such an interesting story! This is definitely one of my favorites of 2015. This year is going to be a tough one when deciding what my top books are, because I have read a lot of great books so far and it's only half way through the year!

Mare turns out to be a mixture of a Red and a Silver. She has the red blood but she has the silver power. So she ends up being betrothed to one of the prince's. She is smart but she has her faults. I can't really go into detail about it too much without spoiling.

Victoria Aveyard brings out an amazing debut with this fantastic story that mixes X-Men and The Hunger Games(?) She brings powers that almost remind you of X-Men powers and she puts it in a war between two classes of people and the concoction that it makes is wonderful. The world building is beautiful. The writing is beautiful. And I cannot wait until the second book comes out!

The hype that surrounded this book is definitely worth it. Yes, there are going to be people who aren't going to like it. But I am willing to bet that they are few and far between. Red Queen has made my all-time favorites list and with that Victoria Aveyard has made my auto-buy list. I am so happy that I finally picked this book up and that I wasn't disappointed but rather it went beyond my expectations!

Definitely give this one a shot if you like YA literature! Yes, it's fantasy. Yes, it's paranormal. Yes, it's dystopian. It fits a lot of genres and you're just bound to love it as much as I do. But watch out, because there are twists and turns and it is bound to break some hearts in the process. :)

Certainly kept me on my toes at first but by the end I was a little bored of twists. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Ending left me very frustrated, but hopefully the rest of the trilogy will end better. Probably will finish the trilogy, but it's not the top of my tbr.
