Ok so that cliff-hanger was mean. I know I know she gave us a sneak peek at the end and the other books are out but still MEAN lol.
I actually didn’t like Mia until the older Mia. I know how could I. Maybe that’s wrong I like how she made Schooner be himself even as a young man and an adult. She brought out the good and the light heart'ed. When he is with her he gets to be just him, not tennis star just plain ole Schooner.
I think what brought me around to Mia was how she navigated her relationship with Schooner when he came back into her life. I really enjoyed how she didn’t let him walk over her when she could have.

I wanted to yell what the HELL so many times through this book. It really makes you think and feel and wonder if one conversation with one person can truly change your life. Whatever CJ said to Mia changed so much and I wonder if that’s true in real life as well. Who knows?
I truly loved the cast of character in this book it’s like having your best friends around. I really like that sometimes a secondary character just feel in the way not so in this book I love it.
Hmmm do I want to read book 2… Will there be another cliffy…. Decisions… Decisions

I liked Mia until she left suddenly. She was just 16 so I understand her, she felt betrayed and she wanted to leave her past behind her and move on. What I don't understand is why she didn't confront Schooner (apart from the obvious reason aka the storyline) ?

Since the beginning we can feel that CJ and Beau have their part for what happened to Mia.

And how in the hell can Schooner stay with CJ for 20 years even if he doesn't love her ? (or so he said - I mean come on we don't marry people we don't love and have children with them)
For me it was too soap opera for my taste... Mia doesn't even ask questions about that, she just fall in Schooner's arms and boom HEA (well she thought it's an HEA)

What happened to Rosie and Henri ? I began to love characters and then they disappeared .... same goes for book 2, what the hell happened to Ryan ? He was supposed to be Mia's best friend

I'd give it 4.5 stars... I enjoyed this book so much I smile and got teary eyed over this book... I love a story that spans 24 years of heartache and unknown betrayal, schooner and Mia are soul mates and I hate cliffhangers!! I can't wait for the next one to see what happens to Mia

I did actually like this book but there are a couple things I just can't get past. Those things being "Schooner" as a name and "baby girl" as a pet name.

I was lucky enough to have been gifted a copy of this book from the author. I only had it 2 weeks before I started to read it. It started a little slow and set the scene. I LOVED the time travel back to meet young Schooner and Miami. You really want so much for things to work out for them. I am ready to read book 2.

Finished Reading October 20, 2014

3.5 Stars
I remember liking it enough that I thought I wanted to read more of the series.
I also remember it was slow paced and sluggish in a few areas.
I did get the bundle but apparently I wasn't wrapped up enough to get moving on reading them.

I tried to finish this book because it was highly recommended, but after 67% I had to stop. The premise was interesting, but the execution needed a lot of help. The story read like a list of things that happened with no emotion. An editor was also desperately needed.

Searching for Moore is the first book in Schooner and Mia's journey of love, loss and betrayal as they fight for their own happily ever after.

~*~My Review~*~

Ok...I'm going to be totally honest here....I was not expecting to like this book at all. I don't really know why....but it I just didn't get a vibe off of it that told me I'd really enjoy this book.

BOY WAS I WRONG!!

I absolutely loved Searching for Moore!!!

Schooner and Mia's love story is one of the most adorable love stories I've read in a long time.

These two cuties met freshman year in college, Mia was just a sweet little innocent sixteen year old going to college and Schooner was the devastatingly handsome, model, All-American sweetheart heart-throb!

Schooner quickly fell into place with what he was perceived as his rightful place by doing sports and dating the typical "prom-queen" type. All while just being a giant fake.

When he and Mia finally get a chance to get to know one another, Schooner quickly realizes he can be himself around Mia and not have to put on a front for anyone. It doesn't take long for these two sweethearts to fall in love.

Complications arise, primarily from the old "prom-queen" ex-girlfriend CJ that cause Mia to disappear from Schooner's life for more than two decades.

After re-connecting on Facebook, the truth comes out and Schooner and Mia get back together! They're in the early 40's now and just starting to live their lives together and fulfill all their dreams of being together.

Our demise is the infamous CJ...and the "devil spawn, Zac"....Schooner's son with CJ. Zac is a piece of work, needless to say not welcoming Mia into the family. Well, honestly, that's putting it mildly. The things Zac does, is just proof that he is aptly nicknamed "Devil Spawn".

Seriously, a great book! I can't wait to get to the second in the series!
