Pretty explicit spicy scenes which I’m not totally opposed to in most books but was a bit much in this one. The love story was so intense so fast, but was sweet and I loved archer. The “villain” of the story was a bit over the top.
One part I’m not the most qualified to speak on but their communication via sign language felt too easy to me. I’m not fluent but some of the stuff they said back and forth I just couldn’t picture how they would say that in sign, especially if they were using correct asl “grammar”. Also think it would be hard to learn asl without being able to practice with other people or be involved in the deaf community but I guess Archer is just a genius and just magically masters everything

"Archer's Voice" by Mia Sheridan is a captivating and heartwarming romance that left a lasting impression on me. One of the standout aspects of the book is the representation of the main character, Archer, who is non-speaking. The author handles this portrayal with sensitivity and respect, highlighting the challenges Archer faces and his resilience in navigating a world that often misunderstands him. It was refreshing to see a character with such a unique perspective, and it added depth and authenticity to the story.

The relationship between Archer and the female protagonist was beautifully written. Their connection felt genuine, and the author did an excellent job of developing their bond as they supported each other on their healing journeys. The chemistry between them was palpable, and I found myself rooting for their happiness.

The story itself was strong from the beginning, drawing me in with its engaging plot and well-crafted characters. The pacing was well-balanced, allowing for moments of tenderness, growth, and emotional intensity. However, the ending felt a bit rushed and neatly tied up, which took away some of the impact and left me wanting more. Despite this, the overall journey of Archer and Bree was satisfying and emotionally resonant.

I appreciated the author's writing style, which was descriptive and evocative, making it easy to immerse myself in the story. However, there were occasional editing issues that could have been improved, although they did not significantly detract from my enjoyment of the book.

"Archer's Voice" is a powerful and heartfelt romance that explores themes of love, healing, and acceptance. The representation of a non-speaking main character, the portrayal of a healthy and supportive relationship, and the captivating chemistry between the couple make this book a memorable read. While the ending could have been more satisfying, it doesn't diminish the overall strength of the story. Loved this book. The writing was gorgeous and the vibe was perfect. This book is a mix of small town romance with characters marked by their dark pasts and kinda slow burn…? Also, there is dual pov, which I absolutely adore in general but especially in this one. No one can say anything against my precious Archer. I loved how this book shows that men can also suffer and be miserable and need to be cared for and can cry and can be in love so wholeheartedly. On the contrary, the book tackles some pretty tough traumatic experience (Bree: rape/sexual assault and Archer: family issues) as well, so be sure to check the trigger warnings. Yet, this book perfectly describes how two people can heal through love, trust and communication and that’s what I love about it. Actually, it’s not a stereotypical love story but a book about tenderness and understanding. At last: read this book, it’s pretty awesome and even worth a reread.

Ps: you should not read this book if anyone (your parents for instance) can look over your shoulder (I speak from personal experience) xD
