I enjoyed this little gothic horror story. Though I should mention that the mystery was lost on me – I knew this is a vampire story, and even if I didn’t- that was very obvious by the way narrator told the story. Of course, it wasn’t at the time it was released, I can imagine that the book was a page-turner, mystery with an element of surprise. Either way, I had a good time reading the book, and I’m happy I chose it for my pre-Halloween reads.
