This is so close to being a 4 star for me. But there's a lot to unpack. And considering this is the first YA fantasy I've read in a while there's a balance of nice versus not so much aspects in this story.

The magical country of Ashoka is beyond detailed. Everything from the old, new,lost and wild. It was beautiful to read about.

Our four main sibling characters. Riya, Viral, Ronak and Kaleb. They are so unfamiliar with each other. Of course it does go on when life motivations become varied. But they somehow band together and unite on a dangerous quest to protect were they came from. I have no clue what each one is going to do The Crimson Fortress. Which can either be the worse or best.

The Kamela Society and the way magic in this world. I want to want so much information. In particular after some of the journey. Hoping the conclusion provides satisfactory answers.

Okay that's everything I have to say about this one.

I feel like I need to be reading this at a time when I have more emotional energy to give it, especially after reading it for over a month now and it not being that long a book.

I actually really liked this? The first quarter or third of it didn’t really pull me in too much and I thought it was gonna be a solid 4 star book - enjoyable but not something I’d be super invested in but I loved thisss
It was so well done and I’m so excited for the sequel cause that shit gets wildd the second half or so
