A few twists in this one that I did not see coming. Still want to go back to NoLa for ALL the sugary confections.

Out of this series this was my least favorite. I definitely skipped through parts of the middle just to get it over with. I did not want to dnf this book since it was the last one the series and I was over half way done when it really lost me. It is okay. It has some plot problems and some character problems and it really did not close the store. It is like a soft finish. I wondered if the author was thinking about coming back to this world so she left it open, but it did not really work for me. This is also weird but the cover messed with me. The male and female characters on the cover of the first two books are still both in this book and still together so I didn't understand why the cover was a dark cover and only had the female on it. It just kind of threw me off.
