I have about as little to say about this book as this book has to say itself. It was fine and a quick read at least. 0/2 on free books I found on the street :/

(edit: I thought maybe this book suffered from a bad translation but after seeing some Spanish speakers' reviews I can confidently say it was below mediocre regardless of the translation.)

Short but moving story that has many layers. A middle aged man remembers his life before his mother disappeared. The story is set in Buenos Aires after a violent dictatorship has taken control.

The point of view is from the child's perspective and you, like the boy, are trying to put together the clues. The second layer is seeing the political oppression and how it permeates the landscape.

At times meandering and overly descriptive, it has very little plot. But it's a poignant look at how the political shapes the personal.
