Cute book. Jay was amazing!!! There were some innuendos at the beginning that bothered me. I couldn't stand Ryan! Or her parents!! I really liked the story. I did hate the last line of the book though! Holy abusive attitude.

This is the second book in the Reality Show series and it was another fun one! I didn't think the actual TV show aspect / wilderness challenge aspect was really explained very well in terms of what the rules, etc. were for the contestants. But I enjoyed all the fun banter between the two main characters and the way their relationship developed.

Yay! I'm so glad that I've found an author who writes clean New Adult. This book was good. Both of the main characters felt real, and they were very witty. I loved that we got to see the story from both of their points of view. The only problem I had with this story was the fact that towards the end, the point of view would shift every couple of paragraphs. Other than that, the story was interesting. There was never a dull moment, and I had trouble putting it down! I can't wait to read the first book of this series. As far as I can tell, there are no overlapping characters between the two books. It seems they are part of a series because of the reality TV show theme.

I'm conflicted about this novel, so I want to give it a 3 but upon further reflection, I feel like it really fell short of its potential so I'll give it a: (2.5).

This author is has a lot of raw talent, she definitely pulls you into the characters and the setting and all of that is really enjoyable. However, I think she needs a bit more practice, and this novel needed a lot of extra work. The supporting characters are WAY under developed, as is the main character's emotional arc. We never really see her break through her issues. Anna wasn't super likable in my opinion. The love interest, too, we never really fully understand what his "dark past" is or see him overcome that either. And his sisters appearance at the end??? What exactly was the point of that? This book is very much all about these two being together, which is fine, I guess, but the author set this novel up to have more depth and it really fell through which was really disappointing.

It WAS free on Amazon for kindle, though, and the entire story was enjoyable and cute and fun throughout (it did cross the line to gag-worthy cheesy at some points though.) So, because it was free and entertaining I feel guilty giving it a something super low. Also, the romance scenes were really well done. Tasteful, believable, and cute.
