Czyli w sumie typowa Nora !

Meh. Maybe I’m just not a romance novel fan. Particularly in audio form.

The narrator was great…. until she had to do the voice of ANY of the men. It just took me out of the story. All the men sounded the same and were cartoonish with their gruff southern drawls. And the men’s dialogue was delivered with zero passion. Barely any inflections.

And not enough excitement. The book leaned heavily on the romance side, which I understand now is typical for Nora Roberts books. I need more thrill and less flowery romance.

Not a terrible book. Just not for me.

I'm a pretty big fan of Nora Roberts on the whole, especially when it comes to her standalone novels. Sometimes they wobble a bit for me towards the too predictable but for the most part I find them very engaging and enjoyable to read.

Come Sundown was another solid entry in the "engaging and enjoyable" section. Bodine is a really fun heroine (reminds me a lot of Eve Dallas) and while I guessed a lot of the twists and turns, I still really enjoyed this novel. My favorite bit may have been Fancy's shirts!! All of the women in this book are quite well written that you can imagine they are real people you'd run into on your next spin through Montana.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of Nora's or just wants an easy and enjoyable read with a bit of romance, mystery and an ADORABLE horse named Sundown.

I had warning that this book was a little bit on the dark side. That being said, I really enjoyed this book. However, be warned that it's more of a mystery with a side of romance, rather than a full romance.

I am a total sucker for Nora Roberts and this is a strong entry in her extensive oeuvre. Set in Montana with a harrowing tale of abduction in the background, the story winds up with an unexpected twist. Admirably narrated.
