Man what a ride the series has been so far. Alex is teetering on the edge and Alfred Furnace knows it. Alex must decide the future of the world and what role he will play in it.

The Good: A new side villain in General Hamilton, A cold and calculating b*tch that acts like the good guy at first but shortly shows she is not, Saddest part of Alex's character development occurs in this book as he reflects on who he was at the start of the series up till that point, and Extremely sad ending that you can feel was inevitable but had to happen to one of the main characters.

The Bad: The ending is very quick and left a lot of unanswered questions to the lore that was implemented, which is the only reason this book is not as good as books 3 and 4. General Hamilton is added to late into the series and is not developed as well as she could have been. Wish she was brought in at book 4 instead of book 5. Epilogue is extremely short, only being a few pages and in my opinion, I wish there was more closure to the main cast.

Ending might not have stuck as well as I would have hoped, but this is and always will be one of my favorite series of all time and I highly encourage anybody to at least read through this series once.
