I really enjoyed this book! I thought Ellie was the ultimate best friend. I loved how much she supported Bella. I had my fingers crossed for the final match. Great read! Will recommend to my friends!

This book has some really fun side characters that I really enjoyed. Bella is someone who needs to take more charge in her life. Bella is convinced by another character to just LIVE, so she finally takes a shot in the dark and little did she know how much things might change. This was an upbeat, rom-com style book and it was pretty easy to read. I don't think it would be my favorite by any means, but it was enjoyable for the most part.
Thank you NetGalley and the Publishers for the copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I will be posting a review on my instagram page as well within the next week.

DNF at 13% the main character is just bratty and I'm not connecting.

Also, you published a book in 2023 with Harry Potter houses?? Shame.

Bella's search for Prince Charming has stalled and she needs a new approach. In trying to have more fun, she finds herself in a series of interesting circumstances with unique companions. She channels her experiences to jumpstart her stalled writing career, resulting in online fairy tale retellings that go viral. When things get messy, she must separate real life from fiction and find a way to live happily (if not ever after).

This was a light hearted, quick and easy read. It was easy to get frustrated with Bella. But at the same time, her journey was fun and entertaining. I would have liked more development and building of the prominent relationships, including the main love interest. The was not much history or elaboration provided. As a result, I never felt very connected to the character. It was entertaining but there are several other books that I would recommend before this one. However I would not dissuade you from reading it if it sounded good either.
Thanks to NetGalley for the chance to read this one before it releases in March 2023.

Quirky and somewhat cute, with a touch of a hot mess express. Bella is not a likable character, and her resentment over Mark made me think she was in love with Ellie multiple times. (Now that could’ve been an interesting angle to take…) She essentially ends up sabotaging her entire life for whats basically a watt pad fic gone wrong. And I didn’t feel sorry for her at all.

Also, points knocked off for having so many freaking Harry Potter references. I get it, it takes place in London, but come on, its 2023 and it’s well known the author is a piece of trash transphobe, can we move on from that damned series?

I read 9 chapters (how are 4 chapters her explaining how she ended up there?!). Pacing was definitely off!

The main character could maybe be interesting but thinks too much of herself and isn’t as independent as she thinks she is.

I just couldn’t continue. Couldn’t care about main character and what she would do with her life. Unfortunate since I liked the synopsis.

This one is a hard one to write about.  The premise and plot are great ideas, but it is hard to have a romance with an unlikable main character.  I'm not sure if it was meant as a test or the character just didn't work for me.  Bella is immature a lot of the time and makes some terrible decisions.

What I did really like was the idea.  Bella decides to finally write her book and writes it online chapter by chapter based on her dates.  And of course it goes viral.  Another great part to this is all the fairy tale references that are cleverly woven in.

Maybe this was just wrong book wrong time for me, but it was really not for me.
