I really think, that the author should have stopped for a moment before deciding on this artist and thought if it really made sense to talk about the story of Audrey Hepburn with such colorful illustrations. This is the first time that this happens in the series.
I think her story was told in an okay way? There was war, she suffered, she moved to London, got a job, started helping children. It was okay, I just wish the artist choice was different.

Detailed and colourful illustrations by Amaia Arrazola. I’m glad the story included her inability to dance professionally because of the war, and all of her work in retirement.

Ik heb dol op deze ‘Van klein, tot groots’ serie, met in de hoofdrol één van mijn rolmodellen. Ik kan niet wachten om het boek aan de baby voor te lezen.

Ms. Audrey is SUCH an icon! I've often read about her resistance work during the war, but this book doesn't reference that at all.
Of course, she's done SO MANY things in her life, this children's book can't possibly cover it all.

This is the 5th book I have read in this series and whilst they all have been good this was indeed one of the best.
I guess I didn't know a lot about Audrey Hepburns story, and this introduction level book has intrigued me to look out fir a biography of her life, it certainly sounds very intriguing.
A great book from a great series.

The Little People, Big Dreams book about Audrey Hepburn was a really good one! I am a big Audrey Hepburn fan, and this book shows a side of her that a lot of people are not too familiar with. When Audrey was a child, her family was greatly affected by the Holocaust, and she became very ill due to the limited food. After the war, she became a very influential actress. She never forgot how she felt when she was younger, so she decided to help poor and hungry children all around the world. Audrey Hepburn is a great example of how you can be influential in any field of work, and I think that people like her are important role models for children to have. I would probably use this book to teach children about the influence they can have on the world, and how people who come from difficult backgrounds can have an amazing impact on people all around the world.

Hepburn’s biography includes WWII, her rise to fame, and her humanitarian work.
