I never read anything by M R C Kasasian and this came as a great surprise.
I started the book and - BANG - I couldn't put it down.
I loved the humour and the funny events mixed with more serious parts like the start of the WWII and the position of the woman.
The main character is great, a bad ass heroine with a lot of humour. The entire cast of characters is likeable and well written.. The mystery was good and fun to read.
I loved the style that mixes different tones and gives each character his/her own type of language.
I look forward to reading other instalment in this series because this one was great.
Many thanks to Head of Zeus and Netgalley for this ARC

I requested this for error as I really liked it and thought it was a new instalment in a series.
I can only confirm what I already wrote: this book is amazing full of humour and a real page turner,
I loved the historical background and i liked the cast of characters, Betty above all.
Highly recommended!

I enjoyed The Gower Street Detective series and was looking forward to more of the same. Sidney Grice was so idiosyncratic as to be comedic and his callous behaviour with March was ultimately caring. With this book, however, I feel like he is having a go at women. Apart from Betty Church, who is a great heroine, every other female in this book is either horrible or ditzy. Dodo is the epitome of annoying female behaviour. The ending was just too ridiculous and long drawn out. His two saving graces are an excellent red herring and the men aren't much better. I don't know if I can stand to read the next one.

Couldn't get into this one after 100 pages. Really liked the mangle Street series but the characters in this really grate on my nerves and the story takes to long to get going.
