This was not a fun reads. The main character, Lise, is institutionalized because she's hearing voices. But every couple of pages, I would find a sentence that took my breath away. So glad I found this writer.

Startling and deeply unsettling. A collection of the fractured thoughts of a children's writer as she becomes deranged and is committed over is it days, weeks, months?
Written by a children's author who suggested from mental ill health, this feels very real
