AGH. This book was SO fucking good. It took me a little while to get into the writing style, but I had just come off the back of reading like 6 prose-heavy books in a row so That's on me, besides that everything fucking ruled. The characters were beautifully formed, the dialogue was killer, the message was of course so well-delivered and the plot had me pacing while I read. 17/10 Go Read This.

Have you ever put a book on your shelf and forgotten to read it? Do you plan to read any older bestsellers?
Razorblade Tears by S. A. Cosby
Pub Date 06 Jul 2021
Flatiron Books
Mystery & Thrillers
5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
As an avid reader, I was surprised to find Razorblade Tears on my shelf unread. 🤦 I finally read it last week, so that box is now checked.
A fascinating follow-up to Cosby's Black Top Wasteland, Razorblade Tears shows profound love for people, especially in its honest treatment of homophobia, race, and other controversial issues. The way Cosby writes about two homophobic fathers is captivating, compelling, and even lovable. Few authors can present gritty topics as he does. S. A. Cosby's books are nothing short of epic!
