A very charming and thoughtful book about first contact through the lens of an older woman who wants to take back control of her life. Throw in plenty of capitalist critique, interesting things to say about language, and the rich internal dialogue of the main character, and you have a very pleasant read

The story dragged for me in the middle.  Almost DNF. Premise, setup and ending made it all worthwhile.
