oh this entire volume was brutal. why. WHY must you do this to me.
demon slayer may be packed with writing inconsistencies (that doesn't make it any less enjoyable though), but it does such a fantastic job with delivering those emotionally devastating moments. even though I knew what was coming, I still weeped as if it were the first time because of how well written this volume was.

It was hard to lose an exciting character so soon, and the plot slows down after the climatic battle, but the meditation on grief through various perspectives is impressive and heartfelt.
