Getting really tired of cookbooks that want me to buy a bunch of new stuff just to make their recipes.  Still, there's a bunch of stuff in here I'm willing to try.

This really is the ultimate guide! Its a great book for people who live alone but what to cook a real meal for themselves. It gives partner recipes so you can use all of your ingredients, and there is a guide for collecting ingredients and utensils.

Best part was the grocery shopping tips in the introduction. Found that incredibly helpful.

- Use a salad bar to obtain smaller quantities of vegetables (like olives) instead of being stuck with a whole jar or package.
- Wrap meat twice in plastic wrap, then freeze in ziploc bags.
- Roll up bacon in single portions and freeze. I have also seen this tip elsewhere, but with parchment paper.

Why turn the oven on in the summer?

Too many breakfasts with heavy cream. Turn oven on for sides...this is great in the summer so that ac has to crank
I gave up after sides.

Yes,. I will write a personal cooking for one because there was nothing new here.
