Cliffhanger-ish

I didn't realize this book was "part one" and that the couple's story isn't complete. Won't be continuing with the series - not bc it's bad but bc I just don't care for the mafia politics

Really into these characters and into the larger story being created and hinted at here. Shae's relationship with her boyfriend (not MC) is way too familiar but also hopefully and realistically told. Looking forward to more in this series.

Well I'll be damned at the chemistry a 68 page book has.

I've only read 2 book of katrina Jackson but her I can already clarify that her writing is excellent, exquisite and just marvelous.

And that ending...sis what? Excuse me; If it's what I think it is, I'm SHOOKET.

I’m not a man who lives with regrets. My line of work doesn’t allow for that, and neither does my personality. If there was ever a time when I had a functioning conscience, I short-circuited it to get where I am today. I’m brutally honest, with myself, if no one else. I have to be, as a matter of safety. If I delude myself into thinking I’m better than I am, I won’t be able to fully understand who hates me, and why, and who hates me enough to want to kill me.

My moral code is simple because it has to be. I don’t do anything I can’t live with, and I don’t leave room for regrets, not normally.

hold up. the ending?????? miss shae??? what have you gotten yourself into???

the spice was trés fabulous. mr silver fox was super hot. the sex was top notch.

i love the writing here. it’s almost like i’m in shae’s and salvatore’s head when their respective chapters come.

plus the smut was written in a simple yet hot way? (if that even makes sense lol)
like for example, the other smut novellas i’ve read have super complex writing during sex and i’m like “i want an easy read and enjoy the smut. not take 2 seconds for each word and figure out what exactly they’re doing”. ukwim? because it doesn’t give me the hot feeling i’m looking for. anyways, on to the next book!!!!

Unexpected Delight

I wanted something quick to read and randomly picked this book. I recalled a YouTuber recommending it. I prefer not to know what a book is about so walked into it blindly. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly I got into it. First off, it appears to lean more towards erotica genre, which is something I have ever read or had had interest in. But I must say that this book is well written and intriguing. The characters are very interesting. It is a short book so it seems like more of a background and opener for what is to come. I definitely look forward to reading more about these characters.
Very quick and easy book to read. I was able to read it in a few hours
