"I'd like to get away from earth awhile
And then come back to it and begin over.
May no fate wilfully misunderstand me
And half grant what I wish and snatch me away
Not to return. Earth's the right place for love:
I don't know where it's likely to go better."

Robert Frost writes about nature in an enchanting way, reading it was delightful. I was a bit afraid of reading 'classic' poetry because I assumed it would be hard to understand but with the exception of a few poems that I had to reread to grasp the meaning, the language was easy and accessible. Overall the poems were beautiful and I really loved them.

Good introduction Frost's earlier years with a good collection of his early poems.

Unfortunately I didn't find even a single poem I enjoyed or found particularly meaningful, even the poem the book gets its title from.

By far my favorite picture book. "The Road Not Taken" is my favorite poem and the illustrations for this book are so wonderful. They tell a story on their own that matches well with the poem. I highly recommend this picture book to everyone, young and old alike.
