The relationship was really cute but I can't really believe an "I've been in love with you for 12 years" story when they're in their thirties – what are you, pre-schoolers?? My ADHD sadly could not compute with the slow pace and I skimmed the last 100 pages.

A lovely story about fake dating your best friend. It does have a 3rd act break up, but it's resolved quickly with a happy ending. It's only Stella's POV for the story, but we get Luka's POV for the epilogue.

This story was a cute, light hearted read. It wasn’t your typical best friends/ fake dating story - there was no fight, disagreement, breakup or walk away throughout the entire novel
Luka and Stella have been best friends for 10 years butsecretly pining after one another - everyone in town can see it but Stella can’t. Luka, for his part, seems to know but is content to go slow because of Stella’s fear of losing everyone she’s ever loved.
It’s like a Hallmark movie with a little bit of steam.

A cute Christmas read that I found was the perfect length. It wasn’t overly cheesy either which I appreciate.
I also don’t think it made sense for them to drop out of the competition for something as small as a fake relationship? I mean I understand the rules or whatever, but that part was kind of dumb.
