Oh this book was excellent! It was very difficult to get into, I think I should’ve picked an easier book to end my few-years-long reading hiatus, but once I started I couldn’t stop! I loved the writing style and the book’s messages, at least from what I could understand. It feels like this is the type of book that I’ll encounter sometime in the future and suddenly understand everything that confused me when I read it the first time. I think it was very bold and super intriguing, except for chapter 11, was it just me or could they have cut that down to something less than 24 pages?

Son de esos libros que son lecturas obligatorias en las escuelas pero que acaban gustando demasiado tiene una historia interesante y con su clásica enseñanza al final.

I went into this not knowing the plot, just that it was popular. I was easily roped into this world that questioned morality and what is means to be a good person in connection to vanity. Though there are mentions of the n word and claiming objects from communities as your own, it fed into the greed the book was highlighting. The ending is thought provoking. Leaves everything needed to be said, said.
