Okay im gonna write an actual review on this book now with pros and cons.
Although i could say there are more cons than pros im keeping this as a 5 star because it was enjoyable enough that i didnt want to put it down

Onto the pros
- As a Takkan and Shiori fan I felt really happy that i got to see them more
- GEN. THE ENCHANTER IN THIS BOOK IS IN SPIN THE DAWN. THE GEN IN THIS BOOK IS THE YOUNGER VERSION OF EDAN FROM SPIN THE DAWN
- I got to see more of Shiori's brothers when they arent cranes for more than half the book. I got to see their characters more and overall i just loved seeing her family especially their relationship with Takkan during the 6 months she was gone for
- Takkan was in the book (yes thats it)
- THIS BOOK. HAD. NO. MISUNDERSTANDINGS. Aaa so refreshing seeing the man being persistent and not leaving the moment she tells him to

Now for the cons and this is going to be a wild ride for me as someone who really wanted to say i saw no flaws in this book

- Shiori was just- she just got so much more.. annoying. On some occasions i can understand her impulses like barging in her brother's wedding because she hasnt seen them in days (6 months in the real world) but sometimes its just??? it just got annoying??? I was hoping she'd grow and learn more while in the dragons realm but no,, but now that i think about it some if not most were quite reasonable because well sometimes (like the mirror shard vision thing) its like all she wants to do is to protect him and she knows how stubborn takkan is to the point where even if she told him what she saw he'd still go anyways so i guess i see why she didnt want to tell him. Whether or not i see a reason as to why she did it, it was still quite annoying to read if im being honest but its alright
- Shiori just needs to listen to takkan sometimes man and takkan needs to stand up for himself fr i know i said i like the fact that hes persistent but sometimes he should really just point out the amount of bs Shiori does but its- its whatever its okay. Sometimes, especially during the engagement scene i LITERALLY had to scream in frustration and close the book for a bit before reading again. I felt so bad for her dad i just couldnt do it
- My beef with Shiori does not end there. Im still very salty she kissed Seryu when she made it clear that shes destined for takkan bla bla bla i know this is a very petty thing to dislike but

Seems Goodreads didn't save some of my reviews, so I'll keep this here as a reminder next time I'm reading this (as I tend to re-read religiously).

How did I forget to review this!?!

The first book is def better. Shiori has great development in this book though. Takkan deserves the world AND MORE. It’s very fast paced and so much happens. Ending makes me cry no matter how many times I read it.
