This book gave me a serious case of onemorechapteritis. It was an incurable condition until I finished it this morning. The story of Pike and Jordan was so compelling. On occasion, Pike really pissed me off, but he really earned his HEA and at the end I felt so good about this one. This was my first Penelope Douglas book, and it won't be my last.

this is an ex boyfriends dad romance executed tastefully. they meet by pure coincidence, have a nice time together, then they are forced to be in each others lives, and they slowly fall in love. they try to deny their attraction but its more than just physical. their personalities complement each other really well and they coexist with ease. pike lawson is the standard. a man that cleans up without having to be asked to, protective/possessive (but not toxic), very considerate of the people he loves, and very sexy. i loved jordans attitude and how she pushed pike out of his comfort zone. they helped each other become better people so it was hard not to root for them.
