Where do I begin with this book? This book made me sad and angry for Britney Spears. It made me angry towards her abusive and controlling family. It made me livid towards Justin Timberlake and Kevin Federline who treated her poorly and dogged her in the media. I am especially livid with the media for commenting on her body since she was a teenager. And especially FUCK her trash father and Lou Taylor.

I really hope the Britney finds peace and truly becomes the woman she wants to become after this traumatic time in her life.

This is so heartbreaking. I can't believe how people can be this cruel because of selfish reasons.

Her story broke me. I'm a woman and a mother, too, so I can only imagine how hard it must have been to take her children away from her.

The gaslighting was harsh and it made my blood boil. What horrible things people can do because of money is beyond me. The point where her dad said that he was Britney Spears at that point gave me chills.

Her life was difficult to say the least. Her faith in humanity is tested a lot of times and it might not have been easy when the people who are supposed to love her are the ones who caused her pain.

Nonetheless, I'm glad that she got her power and freedom back. She's living her life now. I hope she's truly happy more than ever.

P. S. I love her song "Lucky" when I was in elementary school and that piece of music is fun and sad at the same time.

This would have greatly benefited from a cowriter or strong editor, however I still really appreciate this. And considering everything, I really understand why she wouldn't want a cowriter or anyone else to have their hands on her story.

Her story is reflective of so many things wrong with society, from the textbook misogyny she experienced post-breakup to the isolating postpartum depression, to the even less talked about experience of conservatorship. I think it will make a lot of people feel seen and her story of conservatorship will hopefully open a much wider conversation about familial abuse, disability justice, and bodily autonomy for all.
