This book had me in so many emotions. So many thoughts. I was upset with Iris but then I felt so hopeless for her. I am glad that in the end she got her happy ending and August was there for her and had all the patience in the world.

Definitely read the trigger warnings before diving into this one. A hard read but a good one. Saying I enjoyed it feels wrong considering some of the content but it was well written, both harrowing and beautiful. Loved the main characters, their connection and acceptance of one another. Lots of different elements combined into one novel but somehow it really works!

This book has some intense trigger warnings: domestic abuse, rape, violence.

I'm truly at a loss for words to convey the profound impact this book has had on me. In hindsight, I should have expected nothing less from Kennedy Ryan. She's not one to craft simple tales that merely whisk you away; instead, her narratives beckon you to contemplate the essence of life and love, to dive deep into the depths of your own existence. I found myself utterly intoxicated by her words, utterly entranced by her unparalleled talent and lyrical prose.

From the very first pages, Ryan's writing style ensnared me, and with each passing chapter, her words etched deeper into my soul. Iris, our resilient and damaged heroine, carries the weight of abuse and loss, her perpetual headaches mirroring the relentless ache in her heart. Yet, even amidst her pain, her strength and determination shine through brilliantly.

And then there's August. He's a complex blend of friend, protector, and knight in shining armor, a character I couldn't help but adore.

I hesitate to divulge too much about the storyline, but I must emphasize its brilliance. This book is nothing short of splendid and heart-wrenching, a tale that had me in its clutches from the very beginning. Five stars feel inadequate to capture its sheer magnificence.

It is, in every sense, an emotionally charged, raw, and profoundly beautiful masterpiece.

she has done it again. this is not a fluffy romance. please check the trigger warnings because i did not. this book is what Colleen Hoover TRIED to do with It Ends With Us.

the detail. the emotions it put me through. i am in complete awe. the way it all feels so real.. i loved every second of it.

i was able to relate to the characters. i was able to disagree with something’s and still love them like they were real people. the rollercoaster this book put me through. listen. i’ll say it again. PLEASE CHECK THE TRIGGER WARNINGS.

i feel like any and all women should read this book regardless of your own different experience with relationships. i can’t wait to read about Lotus & Kenan, though that is in the third book.
