This Beauty and the beast retelling was fantastic! I enjoyed the spin on the tale and the pace of the story. Definitely a good, quick read that sucked me in.

I love the end but the middle dragged down to the point I wasn't sure I would take the time to finish it.

I got this book a book con (Allure book con) and I’m just now doing an review. It’s an retelling of beauty and the beast and fun enough the book I got said beauty and the hunter. The sex scenes are on point I just wish the world building was better.

I love Erin bedford. Her writing is excellent and engaging, her flow is smooth and doesn't jump around confusingly, her twists are interesting. This book was not my thing though. All of what I mentioned was great but Jason and Isabelle made me so annoyed. I hated the main characters! All they did was annoy me. I had to force myself to not hope some super villain would jump in and kill them both! It will not discourage me from reading more of her books since they will have different main characters. But this one was not my cup of tea.

Erin Bedford is one of my go to guilty pleasure authors. I know kind of what I get when I dive into one of her books and there's not one I didn't enjoy one way or another so far. I was however a little afraid, and I don't really know why, that this could be a lot of sex without much of a plot. And, if you've followed me for some time already, that's not really my thing. Mostly because I don't find sex very interesting unless I grew somehow attached to the characters.

I was however very pleasantly surprised with this book! Yes, there is a lot of sexual tension and attraction between the characters. However, there is also a plot! A quite nice and well done plot if you ask me. The way Beauty and the Beast has been transformed really worked out. It does have the Beauty and the Beast feel, Jason even has a Gaston feel, and yet it also felt original, mostly because Vincent is still very much a Beast, literally.

Although it's a very short book, I did feel like we got some sense of the personalities of these characters. A lot of that is told, but it's also shown, mostly in very subtile ways. It helps that, I think, everyone is familiar with the original tale. The key players of that original tale are easy to recognize and therefore the small additional character trait feel like they make complete characters, although we don't get to see and learn that much about these characters.

This short novella also deals with quite a few heavy themes. I have to admit that I'm not too fond of the "girl doesn't want children, but then changes her mind because she discovers she's seen it all wrong" trope, but it was only a very minor detail and didn't bother me too much in the end either.

The extra story, based on Little Red Riding Hood surprisingly enough worked for me too! Because we were already familiar with the world and everything going on, there wasn't much needed to make me care about these characters and it didn't take long before I rooted for them.

My girl went from terrible father to terrible boyfriend to seemingly good boyfriend that she doesn’t like back to terrible boyfriend and now loves her life? Nah.

Hunter: Fairy Tale Bad Boys

This was a pulse racer! You want to hate both main characters at some point or another in this book.

The characters are well developed, the setting is vivid enough for this visual person to "see it" in my mind's eye and you really can get into the book.

The others are in my TBR list!l, thank goodness for Kindle Unlimited!

LOVED this BOOK! I am so glad I took a chance on this well written book with dynamic characters and world building that is unbelievable! Isabelle (AKA Belle) is a book loving numbers wiz with boy troubles; a cocky rich bad boy wants her. Can Jason be her fairy tale ending? Read it to find out!

I pretty much wanted to punch every male character in this book - Jason is a tool and Vincent is a grotesque mess. Isabel was okay, but it felt like it was trying to cram itself into a smaller space. Also, the writing is just terrible - oddly stilted and formal in many places, while missing words or using the wrong ones ("wanted too do it") in others.

Not Exactly the story I was looking for, but I liked it. I felt a number of emotions through this story, and so long as I can pull 3 emotions, It's a GREAT story.

This was such a fun spin on an old fairy tale favorite. I dig the whole idea that the "bad guy" gets a chance at the girl.
