A good book. What really makes it work is the relationships between the characters

The good things about this book:
  • the concept
  • Jack's support system
The bad things about this book:
  • the execution of concept
  • characters
  • character interactions & dialogue

This book is very forgettable, to be honest. If I didn't write out the different scenes for this review and journal entries I probably wouldn't be able to tell you anything significant from the plot

i liked this books very much, not really because of the story (because we've seen the groundhog day trope a lot in fiction) but because of the characters. Jack sometimes is just a really dumb teenager who you care about but annoys you to no end even tho he has good intentions. but the rest of the cast of characters are amazing, i loved franny the most honestly. jillian a bit less, i haven't really understood if she actually loved franny or she was just waiting for her chance with jack (which is just not meant to be). i liked the writing a lot and i got emotional and teary a few times. i needed a light read (writing-style wise) and this was perfect for that.

I really liked this book! There were so many laugh out loud scenes, moments that were so difficult to read. Great characters and fantastic writing!

This book is heartbreaking, inspiring, interesting/gripping and well developed. Imagine falling in love with someone and then watching them die, and then being traveled back in time to when you met over and over again. What a great concept. This book deals with loss, illness, grief, hurt, complexities of friendships and relationships, and falling in love/soul mates. This was so beautiful, I really liked it.

This story was amazing. Black male lead who doesn’t get shot or killed or brutalized by the justice system. Love it. I thought the story dragged on a bit in some spots, but it was expected for a this piece about
time travel/groundhog day theme
but the writing was cute and light, easy read — just a tad bit long. Shared a lot of insightful information of the black community and things that we go through. But didn’t make it the forefront of the story; with the exception of the
sickle cell anemia

I absolutely loved this book. It kept me curious the whole way through about what was going to happen next. The characters were so well written and all had their own flaws but that made them even more interesting to read about and how those flaws effected their stories.
Such a fantastically original story that was amazingly written

solid 4 stars!! i read this all in one day which is VERY fast for me at this time. i didn’t really like the writing style at first, i found it very stereotypical ya contemporary with too-funny (not funny, actually quite unrealistic) dialogue, pop culture references on every page, trying too hard to make the main character sound like a teenager and he ended up just not sounding like a real person. HOWEVER. this was only really an issue for the first bit of the book, and then i got used to it and the book was so much more than that. overall i enjoyed it!! it was really sweet and meaningful.
