I love most of Charlie N Holmberg’s work, but this book was extremely difficult to get through, and I eventually decided to put it down. While I was aware she’s a Christian author writing books that don’t cross completely into religious territory, this book was a bit too heavy-handed for me. The FMC is manipulated and abused in a way that completely stripped her of her own autonomy, and she doesn’t do enough to fight back. Definitely would not recommend.
