This book was very twisted! There was a lot of tension between the main characters, but they also had a lot of chemistry. Raven was a very likeable character and I really felt for her!

3.5⭐️ The author writing is good. But the story dragged a lot and the romance from i really don’t care went suddenly to blah blah. I found myself to be in a repeated circle of fighting, murder and “I’m not normal since little” “i’m going crazy” a lot in this book. Like we know you guys are bad, no need to mentioned it every single time. Honestly, I get where the author is coming from and I feel it could be executed better.

Dark and Amazing

This story is extremely dark so please please please, make sure you heed the trigger warnings.

This is a slow paced dark romance that does end on a cliffhanger. I LOVE cliffhangers

I can’t wait to see what happens next!!

perfect slow burn

Not usually a fan of slow burn books, but this was perfection. The character building and the psycho aunt and uncle. Raven and Caelian might just be my new favorite book couple.

Favourite Quote: "She wants to hide, but she'll never be able to hide from me. Not even in all the fictional stories in the world"

Okay so I have mixed feelings on this book. I was expecting a love story between two murderous psychopaths and it just fell a bit short. Raven as an FMC had great moments and potential as the daughter of  a serial killer and then would rapidly reset in the way she dealt with her abuse at home or her really freaking annoying cousin. I enjoyed the MMC and his family dynamics but it unfortunately wasn't enough to pull me into reading the second book despite the cliffhanger of the first.

I was hoping to feel more connected to the characters and the story/plot feel flat for me.
