An indispensable resource for anyone interested in women’s studies/feminism/women’s rights. I’ve always loved atlases and geography, and this book is very informative at presenting the statistics on how far we’ve come and how much more needs to be done to ensure equality.

I read the 2009 edition so I’d love to pick up the most recent one to see how things have changed in the past decade.

A very interesting book. It is packed with information, which is presented in colorful graphs and charts, making the information easier to process. The book focuses on women around the world, including the intersections of race and class. A very informative read. While some of the charts are a little confusing, overall this is a great book filled with important information.

This book explores the differences between women and men throughout the entire world. It investigates sections over Health, Property, Education and many other topics. Not only do they compare and contrast women and men, they are compare socioeconomic status. I thought it was a very interesting look into things I had not thought about before, such as dowry deaths. I would certainly be excited to look at a revised edition in a few years to see if any of the statistics had changed!
