This is book four in the Emerald Lakes series. This book was not at good as Magic of Revenge but still overall a fun read. This book ended up with more questions than answers. While I appreciate the overall series has a storyline, I wish each individual book had more of an individual plot. 

Spoilers!!!

I hate surprise pregnancy. It is my least favorite trope in a book. I don’t know why authors feel like FMC needs this to be part of their journey. There is plenty of other things happening without it.

Pregnancy:

she might have had a miscarriage at the end of the book, but she can still feel them, so its nit certain. The book has a trigger warning in it for the last chapter, the next spoiler will be a brief explanation of what happens (with no details) if u can't read the last ch. )

They find out that all the dragons are missing and the warehouse is empty. They make a plan to go to Besmet to warn the king, and get Saige help with the demon pregnancy. Rick stays behind with gran and Miranda. The get to the castle, find out Thane (it seems willingly) gave his crown to his brother, who demanded his guards to capture the 8 of them. Fight ensues. Bram, and Baggie are breathing and unconscious. Faris is presumed dead due to being crushed by falling debris. Fisher and Cam are a little conscious, but barely. Khol has been imp ailed by a sword, presumed dead. Saige cant use her magic for some reason. Salone is in dragon form, but for some reason, maybe PTSD, he doesn't help but instead submits to the new king. Laurie shows up and is being a bitch, then Saige has pregnancy problems.
