"The End of Everything (Astrophysically Speaking)" by Dr. Katherine (Katie) Mack in short, is a spectacular read. Briefly, I want to introduce Dr Katie Mack. Dr Mack is a theoretical astrophysicist, who based off this book, has a great sense of humor. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Physics at the North Carolina State University. Dr Mack holds a PhD in Astrophysical sciences from Princeton University. Now back to the book. The book was a quick, easy and spectacular read. Dr Mack lays out all the technical literature in a way that is easy to comprehend and enjoy. The book starts with an introduction to what the cosmos is, and how it started. It briefly goes into the first fractions of a second (so small it’s mind-blowing) up to what the current universe is. It then goes on to explain the top five theories that indicate how the universe could end. (Spoiler alert) after each theory, she details how we should not worry about any of these theories as if they happen, they will more likely happen billions if not trillions of years into the future. She ends by providing an insight into what should be what really matters in life regardless of what all the theories have proposed in terms of "The End of Everything."
There is a quote from the book "Pushing Ice" by Alastair Reynolds that is shared in the book, that I thought would be nice sharing, and something that one ought to really think about:
“But if nothing we do here has any guarantee of lasting, if even the best gestures have only a slim chance of outliving us, is there any reason not to just give up?”
“Every reason in the world,” Rudd said. “We’re here, and we’re alive. It’s a beautiful evening, on the last perfect day of summer.”

Super approchable! Can’t wait to constantly incorporate the word « eschatological » into daily conversation!

Would probably have been better as a physical book, as an audiobook it was hard to follow. Dr. Mack is an engaging and knowledgeable voice though!
