I knew getting into this story that there would be a little spice if you know what I mean. I was not prepared for how the spice would be. I threw myself into this universe where the Gods walk among us. I am a hopeless romantic and reading this story ignited that romance in my soul. If you like Greek myths you will like this. I am obsessed and cannot wait to read Hades' point of view.

A seriously well crafted modern day take on the story of Persephone and Hades. We all know the story, or a general outline of their story, but there is seriously something to be said for taking something with an origin like this, and translating it into the modern world and having the pieces fit. That skill alone really makes this book, because modernizing something is not generally easy to do. Scarlett St Clair has a gift for this and that's not only evident by this book, but by the rest of the books in this series.

DNF - not keen on the writing and the story feels very similar to others I've read with the same trope (please note I only read the first few chapters!)

this was so fun! i’m such a sucker for anything Greek mythology, especially Persephone and Hades so I just really enjoyed this. I felt like I was reading an adult Percy Jackson 😂🤍
