I LOVED Naomi in the previous books and just needed her book. I wanted to know what happened between her and Seb, and I wanted to know how these two were even going to make up. But really, I just loved Naomi. She was just such an angsty lady, and I loved her arc in Reina's books. She didn't disappoint. I don't get how this book isn't more popular. I always see the Royal Elite and Legacy of Gods talked about. But these two are wild! It does end in a crazy cliffhanger! But we go back in time and start with how these two even got together, and we end this book with the bet. The bet reminded me so much of After, and I wish it was a bigger deal all throughout the book, but it felt like it was forgotten. It happened a year or two before Reina's book, but the timeline showed that the dare was maybe a month or two before Reina's accident. That was weird. I really wish we had seen their kid in Legacy, and I'm just curious how they will come back after this ending, but these two are flipping crazy, and he likes to chase her.

At this point, I’m just barrlong through all of Rina Kent’s books. Some of the characters are staring to get repetitive, but the story lines are still very enjoyable. If you read God of Wrath, you’ll really enjoy this book. The cliff hanger at the end made me furious (in a good way) and I’m already halfway through the second book.
Going from Royal Elites to this is refreshing because these characters are closer in age to me, have a slightly more mature mindset and have ~closer to~ (and I use that loosely) some real world problems. The whole jock/angst cheerleader dynamic is fun and I’m looking forward to see if that plays into any other plot lines in the duology.

“I don't want to witness the moment when the perfect star actually shows to the world that he's not so perfect after all.”
I don’t know how to feel about this book. Some parts, I loved, some felt unnecessary and dragged out. Did I like this book? Not sure. Did I like the characters? Yes. I enjoyed Sebastian Weaver over Naomi “Nao” Chester. I felt that Naomi probably has more depth to her, but I felt like I didn’t get to know her and I didn’t know who she was really. I felt that we explored more about Sebastian characters. However, there are many things that wasn’t explained about Sebastian. I am hoping however that I see more of their emotional connection in the second book, rather than their physical.

wow, it's hard to find characters who make me personally feel seen but that's how it felt with naomi. i loved her so much and i loved how, even when she developed feelings for Sebastian, she never lost her bad bitch vibes and she always defended herself which is something some girls in books tend to lose when they fall in love. this book simply made me hate reina even more than i thought i could but the ending has me super excited for the second book and i can't wait to get started right away!!
