This book friggin rules. First and last eighty pages are a little slow, but man can Dostoyevsky write some struggling characters. Unlike a lot of classics, this does not push a single moralistic lesson or view on the world. Different characters represent different view points, each through a web of parables.
I’ve tried to read Crime and Punishment twice but the narrator made me too stressed to want to finish it. The Brothers Karamazov characters are mostly tortured but not also torturing to read.

I had heard amazing things about this book prior to reading it, and it didn’t disappoint. My only minor issue was during the trial I found myself skimming a little. Everything else however was just wow! I don’t feel I’m able to articulate everything and there is so much in this book that I feel I’ve probably missed (which is fine as I do intend to re-read it). I have a feeling I’ll be thinking about this novel for a long time!

Wow. This is dialogue heavy, theologically dense, and full of drama. These characters are MESSY (except for my angel Alyosha). I feel like I just barely skimmed the surface of what this book has to offer, definitely worth a re read.

That dude with the smelling corpse was kinda unnecessary... why tf was there like 100 pages about how he found Jesus. I frankly don't give a shit...
Absolutely adored the rest of the book. Not my personal favourit from Dostoevskys work but it's still a SLAY with an unique view of human existence and all-round deeply intriguing philosophies.
(also I'm sorry but Ivan is kinda hot)
