It's a slow burn, but a quick read. I devoured this book in less than 24 hours. I couldn't put it down. Steeped with toxic romance, luxury, wealth, and a little bit of fame, this story had me on the edge of my seat. I loved the twist it took in the end. My toxic trait is wanting every book I read to have a sequel and a movie, this one is no different.

Okay so it was slow to start but I was encapsulated by the luxury of the setting. I normally hate the bouncing back and forth between chapters of current day and prior events but as it continued throughout the book I found myself RACING to the next chapter. The only thing that truly upset me was that we didn’t get a little blurb of Belle and Eric like two months after all this went down… Or what happened with Wendy, Claire, etc. Oh well… glad she got Eric though!

Beyond stupid. I feel like I lost brain cells. It was like reading a soap opera at a 7th grade reading level. I might have loved it in my twilight days but confused how ppl liked it..?? 2/10 only read if you are so bored on a beach with no alcohol and your other option is talking to just your dad.

I won’t lie, I was a bit confused for about half of this book. But the ending was pretty good. Belle gets invited to go on a trip with her best friend to her millionaire boyfriend’s yacht in the Mediterranean sea. She thinks it’ll be a relaxing week away but then slowly things start to get weird. The wifi is sketchy and they get locked in their rooms at night. Creepy!

Libby audiobook. This ended up being more thriller and intrigue than I was expecting. I enjoyed it.
