You'd need to shorten this by paper clipping a few pages together for the toddlers, but it's appropriate for toddlers or preschoolers. Dad's love their kids and show them how to do all kinds of fun things. You could really get the kids into it by having them imitate the digging, rolling, lifting, dumping, etc. along with the various trucks in the book. A solid story time choice.

Big trucks with their son's makes for a good combination that kids will like, the illustrations are bold and colorful. Some of the text is a little awkward and I'm not sure if the personification works for me though.
