So confusing! This is not a good place to start. I mistakenly thought this was #1 in the Batman-Superman thing that was published in 2003. I realized my mistake only after I got completely confused. It's probably great, but not for me.

Beautiful art style and illustrations. However, the plot and story is kind of convoluted. Definitely not accessible for getting into The New 52 era, but future volumes might fix that, but unfortunately this wasn't for me.

This was good, but I knocked out down a star because I was confused for a good portion of it. I went back and read it again and figured it out, but the storytelling style was a little hard to follow when first jumping in. Not sure I like how willing to fight without thinking out Clark and Bruce are, I kind of wish the story were actually about the older versions on Earth 2. They sound way more fun.... But it was an interesting intro for Darkseid, we'll see where this goes.

Story was occasionally difficult to follow, but the artwork was stunning and the story was clear enough to press on to the next installment.
