I loved reading this book again, as I could hear the voice of President Hinckely reading it to me. Wonderful advice from a prophet.

A solid book of advice for living that seemed like a good way to start off the new year. President Hinckley lists the 9 Be's -- Be Grateful, Be Smart, Be Positive, Be True, Be Involved, Be Positive, Be Humble, Be Clean, Be Prayerful. This is a good motivator for me at the start of what promises to be a difficult year -- or 4.

I loved this book! I hope all my kids read it as teenagers. I love Gordon B. Hinckley's optimistic outlook on life and people, while still managing to be realistic. I love how much faith he has in future generations and in God, and I love how easily he shares that with the reader. I finished this book feeling uplifted, inspired, and wanting to be a better person.

A brief inspiration book geared towards teens, but good for anyone. I just finished this one and I found a lot of great stuff in here. We've decided to use this for FHE for the next few weeks, and focus on the 9 Be's:
Be Grateful
Be Smart
Be Involved
Be Clean
Be True
Be Positive
Be Humble
Be Still
Be Prayeful

When my girls were in their pre-teen years we did a series of Family Home Evening lessons based on the chapters of this book. While I didn't feel there was a lot of deep insight or new ideas here, it was a succinct way to categorize and emphasize some of the important traits for a Latter-day Saint to develop. 4 stars

"Never forget that you have far more years ahead of you than you have behind you. Those years can be productive and rewarding. The good things of which you dream in your better moments will become realities...The better way to Be is they way of these 9 Be's."
- Gordon B. Hinckley.
I love this book. A perfect way to assemble my values and thoughts after the best 2.5 weeks of my summer- and now with the rest of my life to follow. Read it.

This book is a wonderful little reminder of things we can change that can help us live happier lives. I was teenager when the talk that inspired this book was given. The book contains 9 "Be's" that can lead to happier life. Using stories from his own life, the author makes the subject more relatable to people. Good book and enjoyable read.

I listened to this book on the way to and from work while in highschool and it helped give me courage to do what was right and gave me a little boost! Love President Hinckley!
