I finally ended up buying a new copy of this, seeing as how our other copy has vanished off the face of the earth (maybe it's floating around Soul Society somewhere, or in some Hollow's stomach). Anyway, I'm not a big Ganju fan, but I did enjoy seeing all of the Captains, minus Ukitake. Knowing how the Soul Society arc wraps up makes it very interesting to read along, picking up the small nuances of each character's behavior. Also fascinating that Renji is unaware of who Matsumoto's captain is. If nothing else, Ichigo's infiltration of Soul Society definitely brought the various squads together.

Definitely an exciting and action packed arc. Love the world building of the Soul Society and the newly ( yeah) introduced characters
