Anastasia is a historical fantasy romance standalone from Sophie Lark, and her first ever fantasy book. It was a well researched emotional and harrowing read.

I’m not too big of a fantasy fan but am I a huge Sophie Lark fan, so I was nervous going into this book. However, Sophie made the difficult task of blending history, politics, magic, and romance not just well enough to be able to understand what was going on in the book, but intricately detailed to the point I felt every emotion the characters were feeling, not just the main ones. Sophie truly brought me into this fantasy world, shattered my heart multiple times and put it back together every time after and I would do it all over again in a heart beat. I’ll never listen to Once Upon a December the same again😭🥹❤️
