This was by far the weirdest book I have ever read. While also being incredibly emotional and thought provoking. But strange very strange and I devoured this book 🦈 ♥️
Graphic: Body horror, Panic attacks/disorders, Terminal illness, Toxic relationship, Medical content, Medical trauma, and Pregnancy

Shark Heart was a once-in-a-lifetime read. Emily Habeck’s writing is fine-tuned to emotional detail that captivated my attention and made me feel grief, wonder, awe, and love. I’ve never read a novel that blended genres and magical realism in a way that felt more real and true. Wren’s character made me reflect on my own coming of age as a 20-now-30 something. I want everyone I know to read this book, and feel known the way I did.
Moderate: Domestic abuse and Medical trauma
