Well, I can't say I loved these books but I also can't say they were bad.
They were okayish.
When the book started I was so interested I would promise myself I'll finish it by the night. & everything was going good, the needed tension, the whole story in general, & we reach the climax & everything ruins.
In book 3, I was having fun with Ian & Thorne, but after a point the story felt like it was dragging on for no apparent reason! & then Ian reveals the secret & I so didn't like the way it was revealed.
In Book 4 & Book 5 the same things happen & that's the reason I couldn't bring myself to give the books more than 3 stars!
At first I was like "yup! 5 stars!" By the end I was like "nope! 2-3 stars tops!"

But what did I love about this series? That all the couples were lovable & my favorites! That even though I didn't like the endings or the last half of the books, I enjoyed the first halves of the books.

So, yeah, not bad, not great either. That's why I said in my review of the first book: it's no special book. Not to me. & no, I don't recommend it.

4.5 Stars ~ Review: This was my first visit to Lang Downs, and I have to say I would like to visit again, and maybe stay there forever. Cherish the Land starts out with Seth coming from a broken relationship with a girl who doesn’t understand his love of the land he wants to return to. He seems to miss his family and his best friend, Jason.

You immediately understand that the pairing will be Jason and Seth. I just wish they had understood it. It seems a lifetime of non-communication caused this weird situation. Seth says he always loved Jason but because of his upbringing and the abuse he faced when he was younger, he is afraid of what that means. Jason has always loved Seth but always thought of him as straight.

Even not having previously read the other books and then stepping into this world, it was easy to navigate. Ariel Tachna did an amazing job of resolving the misunderstanding between these two, and creating a loving couple throughout the book. The story seemed to be more about the ranch and the goings-on of all the people who lived there. The author wove these characters flawlessly throughout this book. I truly enjoyed every bit of it, from the storms to the accidents to the dramatic love scenes. I wanted more. What also helps is the amazing narration that was given by Williams James.

Narration: This was the first narration I heard from William James, and I want to say that I want more. He seamlessly wove in and out of his Aussie accent to his American accent. I was able to differentiate between all the characters with ease. He has an amazing clarity to his voice and a great pace.
