He may have invented the English novel, but jeez 300 pages and not a single chapter, just another reason to avoid (in favour of more modern works).
Without giving much away, the story is very well known after all - Englishman stranded on a desert island, with a slave - I didn't know much about the how, where and when. And now I do. I felt more sorry for the bear than anything he went through.
