To my surprise, I never got sick of the style (all stories are told as Kickstarter-style fundraisers). Some stories are weaker than others of course, but overall it's a really great anthology.

As with all anthologies, there were some stories that elated me, some that disappointed me, and some that didn't affect me at all. If you only get this for Seanan McGuire's "Bring About the Halloween Eternal!!!" and Scott Sigler's "Nosferatu, Brutus?", it will be money well spent.

Far too many of the stories had exactly the same premise. And the format of them being a Kickstarter plea got old quick.

Lots of good shorts in here, definitely worth checking out if you enjoy short form fiction!

Meh. This is an entire anthology of faux Kickstarter projects that at the same time tell a short story. It's a cute concept but after two or three you're pretty much done. After multiple hundreds of pages I really just wanted it to be over.

This was an interesting little short story. The concept was intriguing and I was shocked by the ending. The story was told through a GoFundMe Page which was such a unique way to tell a story, as Ursula is trying to raise money to reach her sister in the Land of the Dead. I think this could have been an interesting and unique novel if it was expanded. It was just so fast and I wanted more from it. I needed more information about the event and what lead to it.
