Another sweet but not sappy offering. Okay, a little sappy about hospice residents but I've heard worse. But I think I've learned all I need about this quartet -- Maureen and David will have to live on without having my jaundiced eye assessing them.

I didn't like [book:The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry|13227454] so it's no surprise I didn't enjoy The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessy. Queenie's constant enabling of David was so irritating. Her guilt is stupid, to be frank. David was a selfish, rude, alcoholic ass - that Queenie doesn't acknowledge or see that made this book a complete waste of time.

A parallel tale to Harold Fry. Live how the characterization is so spot on. The idea of multiple perspectives and how we’re always missing all the details and only know what we’re told.
