Stopped reading at p115.
It's taken me a year to get to this point and I just can't be bothered to read any further.
Let's be honest, it's not bad, it's just sooooo slow. And nobody's a likeable character.

56 pages in and characters are already not behaving in any way that makes sense. Consulting online reviews indicates this is just the way this book is.

A dark and decadent tour across Enlightenment Europe, taking in culture, class, love, desire, taboos, family and what makes a person "good."
