I dig this series. I find the mystery intriguing and like the spin on Spidey. Aunt May looks like Skeletor, but other than that the art style works too.

Slott's gathering forces to assemble against Peter as he deals with death once more. The was a good read but was more of a setup piece to what's next as opposed to its own story. Slott's Spider-Man continues to focus on family and friends. I enjoy it and his dialogue is well done. The art here was very good. Overall, a good introduction to the next big spider-story.

I enjoyed this volume more, it felt more focused around Pete and his inability to juggle his responsibilities, even if the admittedly emotional ending did feel somewhat contrived (did he really need to hang there for a solid hour? no other heroes around to help? etc). And it's setting up another clone story. Is that a good idea? Past experience would say no but that's what we're left with. It feels like this new version has found its feet somewhat.

Not bad. The roboty bit is the best. I'm curious about what's going on with this big bad guy. All the family interactions left me cold.

This is more like it. Large stakes and small character moments.
I don't want to say more and spoil this but this book feels like Big Time again. Parker juggling responsibilities and several villains plotting and a few ahead of Parker. Can't wait for The Clone Conspiracy.

It seemed like a fine book. But I just didn't care. Not sure if it was me or the book. But it just seemed pointless and uninteresting and something I'd seen before. It was a perfectly adequate okay book with perfectly adequate and okay writing and art. Maybe it's time to stop reading all the Marvel books.
