This book can definitely be read in one sitting. However, to long for the events to unfold, one ought to approach it from a distance, slowly, and dumbly. Françoise Sagan wrote this book when she was 18 years old and my opinion is that you can only justify the ramblings of a 17 year old sociopath (the character Cécile in the book) when the writer herself is around the same age (how creepy if, say, a middle-aged man had written the deep feelings of a 12 year old girl? *Lolita*.) If I look at my diary when I was around that age, the thoughts and feelings will sound similar to Cécile's and so I'm inclined to sympathize with the author. The story itself was simple and slightly entertaining. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who has a short train ride coming up with nothing of significance to read.

m'ha agradat molt, tot i q al ser bastant curt tmp m'ha enganxat massa. és un llibre molt còmode de llegir, l'estètica és molt xula i m'ho he passat molt bé. vull llegir el altres petits plaers de la sagan !
